Below are some of my favorite competitions; the events and venues are too numerous to name, so I’ll just mention the competition types. Tractor Pulls: see who can pull a sled the farthest; the weight gets heavier the farther you go. Tug-o-war: strap two tractors together and see which one can pull the other past the mid-point Chipper Wars: you get 3 minutes to see how who can make the biggest pile of wood chips. Cans of Glory: Whoever can put the trash can by the road and make it back to the garage the fastest wins the Glory Tote-ally IBC: Load a full IBC tote of wood into your neighbor’s truck without scratching the tailgate. Mowing for Moolah: Most acres mowed in a year is the winner. There are so many more I didn’t mention, but I think you get the idea.
